Brother’s Keeper Barbecue was formally birthed in Long Beach in 2018 though it goes back many years before that with owner Maurice “Mo” Stewart. Started with BBQ pop-ups at local breweries. Thanks to a loyal following, it has grown into what it is today.

Rooted in Texas-style barbecue with a family-inspired twist. Brother's Keeper BBQ, based in Long Beach, CA, is a curator of smoked meats. Led by Mo Stewart, our team is inspired to bring the time-tested traditions of barbecue to the masses.

Centered around creating a sense of community and togetherness through food. Often when we dine out, the experience tends to be more transactional or confined to the group we came with. But barbecue is different. It has a way of breaking down barriers — it’s less formal, more inviting, and it naturally brings people together.
